Our Commitment
At Elements Martial Arts, the safety and well-being of our members is our highest priority.
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful and professional training environment for children, young people and adults. Any behaviour that compromises safety, welfare or personal boundaries will not be tolerated.
All safeguarding concerns are taken seriously and handled appropriately.
Club Safeguarding Officer
Elements Martial Arts has an appointed trained Safeguarding Officer:
- Nusrat Nabi: nusratnabi1932@gmail.com
Nusrat has completed accredited safeguarding training and is responsible for receiving and responding to safeguarding concerns within the academy.
UKBJJA Safeguarding Oversight
As a UKBJJA-affiliated academy, we operate under the UKBJJA Safeguarding Framework.
All coaches at Elements Martial Arts:
- Are registered with UKBJJA
- Hold Enhanced DBS checks (as required by UKBJJA)
- Have completed accredited safeguarding training
- Hold recognised Emergency First Aid or Sports First Aid qualifications
Concerns may also be reported directly to the UKBJJA National Safeguarding Officer: safeguarding@ukbjja.org
Reporting
Concerns can be raised with:
- A coach
- Our Club Safeguarding Officer
- The UKBJJA Safeguarding Officer
Serious or criminal matters should also be reported to the police.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
If something doesn’t feel right, speak up.
